Our client, a growing manufacturer of decorative trim and flooring materials, is seeking a Finishing Line Operator to join their production team in Henderson, NC. In this role, you will run high-speed finishing equipment that applies a protective coating to printed products, and your work will directly shape the quality of every order that leaves the floor. Job Responsibilities-
- Set up finishing line equipment to match product specifications for each production order.
- Operate high-speed finishing machinery, monitoring and adjusting coating application for even coverage.
- Prioritize and stage finishing jobs and materials based on production demand.
- Pull and inspect quality control samples on every production order.
- Record production output and log all rejected or scrapped material at the time of the run.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they come up during production.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on line equipment.
- Follow all safety policies and keep the work area clean and organized.
Job Requirements -
- High school diploma or GED, or 2+ years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow job specifications and quality control procedures.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and basic math skills for problem solving on the line.
- Comfortable using hand tools for adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with operators, leads, and management.
- Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted and stay on your feet for a full shift in a non-climate-controlled facility.
- Experience with coating, laminating, or print finishing equipment is a plus.
