ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Finishing and Sanding Technician is responsible for prep of material to include filling, sanding and checking workload for paint application, quality control, and product movement in relation to paint repair.QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work independently and take initiative. Must be a quick learner, able to multi-task and switch gears easily. Flexibility to work both paint and finishingStrong communication and organizational skills with passion for detail and accuracyDemonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy and quality.Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member in fast-paced environment.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Quality ControlEnsure product is finished to proper standardsVisual inspection to determine the level of re-coat need, if any.Mask/cover product for appropriate paint applicationWipe down/clean product when needed.SandingUse of hand and power toolsFilling voids with fillerPaintingDaily paint applicationProper paint disposal, material movement, and working knowledge of product being utilized.Use of hand tools, spray equipment, hand rollers, sanders, and hydraulic liftStencil use and proper placementSchedule FlexibilityMonday through Friday work schedule with weekend hours as requiredManage time to provide the desired outcome for repair (re-spray, bondo, re-roll)Material HandlingMove products in and out of workspace according to the coordinated plan.
