Overview
Join our production team as a Finished Goods Packaging Technician. In this role, you’ll work safely in a high-speed manufacturing environment, carefully inspecting products and packing them in the correct configuration for shipment.
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting pay: $17.00 per hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential
- Paid weekly
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
- Night Shift opportunities may also be available
What You’ll Do
- Package finished product into boxes and stage for shipment
- Inspect items for defects and promptly notify a team lead of any quality issues
- Maintain adequate supplies at your workstation (boxes, tape, etc.)
- Keep your area clean and organized at all times
- Follow all plant safety rules and standard work instructions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Proven ability to contribute effectively within a team is essential
- Ability to follow standard work instructions is required
- Prior manufacturing exposure preferred; effective communication skills; comfortable sustaining a rapid work tempo
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This is a manufacturing floor role with frequent, sustained activity. You will:
- Reach overhead, squat, and bend at the waist
- Lift boxes ranging from 0–50 lbs (varies by line)
- Climb stairs repeatedly during a 12-hour shift
- Stand continuously for up to 12 hours and perform intense walking
- Work indoors in conditions that can be excessively hot or cold
Safety gear is required when specified, which may include: safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat or bump cap, hair/beard net, and gloves.
- Ability to stand, walk, twist, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, and bend for the duration of the shift
- Comfort with prolonged standing while performing job duties
- High level of manual dexterity with repetitive motion of hands, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles
