Fine Woods Shop Assistant
Duties : - Planning, jointing, crosscutting, and ripping material for customers.
- Replenish bin lumber from bulk inventory.
- Operating forklift to fill customer order.
- Answering phones and assisting customers with lumber.
- Prep, stage and load trucks for delivery.
- Maintaining cleanliness of shop and store.
- Informing Outlet Manager when repairs are needed for equipment.
Qualifications:
- The selected candidate must possess the ability to work well with others and treat customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Excellent math skills and ability to calculate board footage.
- Must have good communication and leadership skills.
- A good attendance record is necessary and is to be maintained.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Frank Miller Forklift license.
- Ability to learn species/grades of lumber and learn woodworking equipment.
