As a
Financial Services Representative with Tiona Petrouske State Farm, you will play a key role in growing our financial services and retirement planning business while developing into a leadership position within our two-office agency.
This is not a role where you will simply inherit an established process. We are looking for someone who is motivated by the opportunity to
build, develop, and take ownership of an important area of our business. You will work with existing and prospective customers to identify financial needs, provide investment and retirement planning solutions, and develop long-term customer relationships.
The right person is also a leader. You will help strengthen the sales capabilities of the entire team through coaching, role-playing, accountability, and leading by example. As you grow in the position, you will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility for team development and day-to-day office leadership.
Our ideal candidate is self-directed, emotionally intelligent, mature, and confident. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room to influence people. We value someone who listens well, communicates thoughtfully, takes initiative, follows through, and can hold themselves and others accountable.
This position will primarily work from our
Green Bay office and approximately two days per week from our Algoma office.
And one non-negotiable:
you must love dogs—they're part of our office culture!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grow the agency's investment and retirement planning business through proactive customer conversations, financial reviews, referrals, and new opportunities.
- Conduct needs-based conversations with customers regarding retirement planning, investments, asset allocation, and other financial goals.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of financial services opportunities and consistently follow through from initial conversation through implementation.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships by making complex financial concepts understandable and helping customers make informed decisions.
- Maintain appropriate securities licensing, documentation, and compliance standards for all financial services activity.
- Produce personally across the agency's broader product portfolio, including Auto, Fire, Life, Health, and Retirement Planning.
- Identify opportunities within our existing customer base to deepen relationships and provide more comprehensive solutions.
- Help develop a repeatable financial services process that can be used throughout the agency to consistently identify and pursue investment and retirement opportunities.
- Lead by example with strong personal sales activity, preparation, follow-through, and accountability.
- Coach team members on sales conversations, needs discovery, presenting solutions, handling objections, and asking for the business.
- Listen to and evaluate team sales conversations, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide specific, actionable coaching.
- Conduct role-playing and sales practice to help team members improve their confidence and effectiveness.
- Help establish and maintain performance expectations and hold team members accountable in a constructive, professional manner.
- Assist with sales meetings, employee development, onboarding, and training.
- Develop toward increased leadership responsibility, including supervising employees and helping manage the day-to-day operations of an office.
- Work collaboratively between our Green Bay and Algoma locations, with regular travel to Algoma approximately two days per week.
- Look for opportunities to improve how we work rather than waiting to be told what to do.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–5 years of experience in financial services, investments, insurance, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience with investment or retirement planning conversations strongly preferred.
- Securities licensing that provides a viable path to the registrations required for the role. FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 are preferred but not necessarily required at the time of hire.
- Candidates currently holding other securities registrations, including a Series 7, are encouraged to apply. Continued registration will be subject to the securities licenses and sponsorship available through our organization, and additional licensing may be required.
- Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licensing preferred; willingness and ability to obtain required insurance licenses is necessary.
- Demonstrated sales ability with a consultative, needs-based approach.
- Ability to independently develop opportunities and follow them through to completion.
- Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, maturity, professionalism, and good judgment.
- Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Ability to coach others while also holding them accountable for expectations and results.
- Self-directed and comfortable working with significant autonomy.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities across multiple areas of responsibility.
- Interested in growing into increased leadership and office-management responsibilities.
- Reliable transportation and ability to regularly work from both Green Bay and Algoma locations.
- Must love dogs.

There is also substantial opportunity for professional growth. For the right person, this position can develop into a significant leadership role within our agency.
