Financial Reporting Accountant
Salary: Up to $100K base
Position Overview
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join an established corporate accounting and financial reporting team. This role will support the preparation of internal and external financial reporting, quarterly financial statements, and equity-related accounting.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on financial reporting experience within industry. Public accounting experience is highly valued, but candidates should have experience beyond a purely audit-focused role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages
- Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting
- Support equity accounting and transactions, including stock options and stock repurchases
- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement documentation
- Partner with accounting leadership throughout the quarter-end and year-end close/reporting process
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards
- Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation
- Adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of reporting responsibilities within a collaborative team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong financial reporting experience within industry
- Experience with equity transactions/accounting strongly preferred
- Prior public accounting experience, particularly with a national or Big 4 firm, is a plus
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
