Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 Base Salary + $40,000–$60,000 Bonus/Additional Compensation

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join a growing real estate and finance-focused organization in Atlanta. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical, driven professional who enjoys working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and wants exposure to financial analysis, real estate, capital markets, transaction support, and strategic business development.
The Financial Analyst will support financial modeling, research, reporting, real estate analysis, portfolio management, and transaction-related activities. This role will work closely with senior finance and leadership teams and will have the opportunity to contribute to complex projects involving real estate development, acquisitions, financing, and asset management.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, Accounting Analyst, Real Estate Analyst, or similar analytical role, along with strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Perform cash flow analysis, rental rate analysis, breakeven calculations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Support the development of financial and bond financing models under the direction of senior leadership.
- Analyze financial data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Build and maintain databases containing internal and external financial, market, and operational data.
- Prepare management reports, presentations, dashboards, and other analytical materials.
- Assist with financial due diligence and transaction analysis.
Real Estate & Investment Analysis
- Support analysis of existing and prospective real estate investments and transactions.
- Assist with ARGUS modeling for existing portfolio assets and potential acquisitions or developments.
- Analyze property-level financial performance, operating assumptions, rental rates, capital requirements, and investment returns.
- Assist with acquisition, disposition, financing, and development-related analysis.
- Research real estate markets, properties, organizations, and potential opportunities.
- Monitor relevant market, economic, and industry trends and communicate findings to leadership.
Business Development & Research
- Conduct research on organizations, markets, institutions, and potential business opportunities.
- Prepare management summaries, briefing materials, presentations, and research reports.
- Identify potential real estate and business development opportunities through market research, industry publications, networking activity, and other sources.
- Monitor relevant board, leadership, market, and industry activity and communicate information that may impact business opportunities.
- Participate in professional organizations, webinars, conferences, and industry events as appropriate.
Portfolio & Asset Management Support
- Participate in property management and portfolio meetings and communicate key information to internal stakeholders.
- Support coordination with property management teams regarding financial and operational matters.
- Analyze property performance and assist with identifying opportunities for improved financial and operational performance.
- Assist with portfolio reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing asset management initiatives.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Facilities, and senior leadership on strategic projects and initiatives.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support audits, compliance reporting, financial reviews, and due diligence activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of special projects and analytical assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting analysis, real estate analysis, investment analysis, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of information, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable working primarily onsite in an Atlanta office environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, accountability, and ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial real estate, real estate development, investment, property management, higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or financial services.
- Experience with ARGUS, Yardi, Power BI, Tableau, or similar financial/reporting platforms.
- Experience with real estate financial modeling, valuation, lease analysis, or property-level financial analysis.
- Knowledge of lease administration, capital planning, property operations, or asset management.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, financing transactions, or due diligence.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, financial functions, data analysis, and complex modeling.
