    Financial Planner - Lead

    Location: Buffalo Grove, IL | In-Person
    Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:45 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:45 AM–2:30 PM
    Experience: 3+ Years
    Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
    Industry: Financial Services / Wealth Management
    Compensation: Base + Performance-Based Bonus

    Our recruiting firm is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Financial Planner to join an established and growing wealth management organization.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a client-focused financial professional who enjoys building long-term relationships and providing comprehensive financial and retirement planning guidance.

    The position is primarily planning and client-service focused rather than sales-driven, with the opportunity to identify additional planning and investment needs among existing clients.

    Must-Haves

    • 3+ years of direct client-facing Financial Planning experience
    • Series 65 or Series 66 — required
    • Bachelor's degree — required
    • Strong knowledge of comprehensive financial and retirement planning
    • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and organization
    • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    Preferred:

    • CFP® designation
    • Life Insurance license
    • Experience with retirement income planning, investment analysis, tax planning, insurance analysis, and wealth management

    What You'll Do

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned client base.
    • Develop and present comprehensive financial plans and retirement income strategies.
    • Conduct client meetings, reviews, and ongoing planning conversations.
    • Analyze investment portfolios, asset allocation, and financial planning scenarios.
    • Perform retirement, tax, insurance, and other financial analyses.
    • Identify opportunities to improve clients' financial strategies and overall financial well-being.
    • Collaborate with senior advisors and other members of the planning team on client cases.
    • Proactively communicate with clients and ensure their ongoing needs are addressed.
    • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely client planning records.
