**This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date.**

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Senior Financial Performance Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to operational, clinical, and executive leaders, driving measurable improvements in financial and operational performance across the enterprise. Leveraging advanced analytics, strategic finance methodologies, performance improvement techniques, and cross-functional partnerships, the incumbent transforms complex data into actionable insights, identifies opportunities, quantifies impact, develops performance frameworks, and supports initiatives that achieve sustainable organizational and financial results.
The incumbent leverages advanced analytics, financial modeling, and performance management methodologies to translate complex operational and financial information into meaningful recommendations, performance targets, and accountability measures. This role serves as a key partner to hospital leaders in achieving strategic, operational, and financial objectives. The position helps leaders move from insight to action and measurable 
 
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare finance, financial planning and analysis, consulting, strategy, decision support, performance improvement, or healthcare operations.
  • Demonstrated experience building complex analytical and financial models.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI capabilities.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence across multiple organizational levels without direct authority.
Preferred:
  • Experience within an academic medical center or integrated health system.
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, Epic, Strata, Workday, Axiom, or related tools.
  • Healthcare performance improvement or consulting experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, business case development, and scenario analysis skills.
  • Ability to identify performance improvement opportunities, quantify impact, and support implementation of solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex information to executive, clinical, and operational leaders.
  • Ability to translate historical financial and operational data into meaningful targets, benchmarks, forecasts, and performance goals.
  • Experience developing and maintaining performance management tools, scorecards, dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across clinical, operational, finance, and executive teams and influence decisions without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead analytical workstreams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools, with the ability to translate analytical models into meaningful reporting solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on accountability, results, and continuous improvement.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 
Preferred:
  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, MS, or equivalent).
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
