Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing company seeking an entry-level Financial Operations Associate to join their finance team on a fully remote basis. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional to build a strong foundation in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting while working alongside experienced finance leaders.
Day to day, you will spend your time processing transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end close, and helping keep financial data clean and accurate across systems. Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation and files
- Assist with vendor and customer invoicing and payment follow-up
- Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams on financial data needs
- Help identify opportunities to improve financial processes and workflows
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding financial transactions and reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
- Up to 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning new financial software
- Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity and discretion handling financial information
