The Procure to Pay (PTP) Accounting, Tax, & Direct Site Support Associate Manager provides end-to-end leadership, oversight, and accountability for accurate PTP accounting, compliant tax execution, strong internal controls, and reliable site-level PTP operational support. This role leads two functional teams-Accounts Payable (AP) Tax & Accounting and Direct Site Support-driving day-to-day operations, maintaining control discipline, managing team workload, and ensuring consistent execution aligned with GFS and PTP priorities. The Associate Manager also serves as a backup for select banking and control functions to support operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop two functional teams (AP Tax & Accounting and Direct Site Support), ensuring clear priorities, coaching, workload management, and strong adherence to internal controls.
  • Oversee AP tax compliance (including 1099 reporting and backup withholding), AP accounting activities, reconciliations, month-end support, quarterly and annual AP-related activities.
  • Manage PTP operations for select sites, ensuring timely invoice processing, issue resolution, compliance with PTP standards, and timely supplier payments.
  • Identify control gaps, process risks, and operational issues; drive corrective actions and partner with stakeholders on audit readiness.
  • Champion process improvement, automation, and AI initiatives to streamline and optimize internal processes, reduce manual work, and improve efficiency.
  • Support transformation initiatives, including preparation and execution of 1LMX migration activities.
  • Partner across GFS, PTP, Accounting, Business Areas, Treasury, Procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent execution, strong communication flow, and efficient issue escalation/resolution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Tax, Financial Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Tax, Financial Operations, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, accounting (US GAAP), and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors; ability to motivate, develop, and energize teams in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members and leadership at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet business objectives, and operate effectively across organizational boundaries and dependencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Curious and forward-thinking mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo, question existing processes, and explore new and creative ways to solve problems.
  • Track record of rapidly identifying, designing, and implementing new strategies, tools, and improvement initiatives; proven adaptability and openness to change.
  • Skilled at working across organizational and functional boundaries to achieve results.
  • Success in dynamic, fast‑paced environments with strong coordination and prioritization abilities.
  • US Citizen.

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SAP (including S/4) and other enterprise financial systems.
  • Experience supporting audits, maintaining SOX/compliance posture, and executing strong internal controls.
  • Proven self-starter and quick learner with ability to master new systems and processes.
  • Experience using AI and automation tools to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and team‑building capabilities; able to motivate and energize team members to deliver quality results.

Pay Information

GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $111400.00 - $206800.00

  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $100200.00 - $186200.00

  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $89100.00 - $165500.00

  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.

  • Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $80200.00 - $149000.00

  • Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
