Are you excited about the intersection of AI and finance? Do you want to own a portfolio of high-visibility financial deliverables for one of Amazon"s fastest-growing online businesses and do it with AI tools embedded in your daily workflow?

Whole Foods Market E-Commerce Finance is looking for an AI-native Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team in Austin, TX. This is not a support role. You will own the team"s recurring financial reporting portfolio end to end, including business reviews, month-end close reporting, planning cycle consolidations, and cross-channel financial analysis, with full accountability for quality and accuracy.

The online grocery business you will support is growing at sustained double digits year over year, operating at a multi-billion dollar annualized run rate, and executing an ambitious strategic portfolio spanning traditional Delivery and Pickup alongside cross-banner programs that only Amazon and Whole Foods Market can deliver together. This is a business at an inflection point: online penetration is accelerating, new programs are launching quarterly, and the pace of growth demands a finance team that can keep up without sacrificing precision.

This role is designed as the launchpad for career trajectory. You will build deep domain expertise, develop AI fluency across a best-in-class finance tool stack, and grow into senior analytical roles through active mentorship and structured development.

Key job responsibilities

Own the full recurring financial reporting portfolio across weekly business reviews, monthly close reporting, quarterly planning consolidations, and ad hoc leadership requests for a rapidly scaling online grocery business

Serve as the controllership quality gate for automated reporting outputs, validating accuracy, flagging anomalies, and ensuring every deliverable meets leadership-ready standards

Produce and maintain weekly business review financial content across multiple programs and channels (Delivery, Pickup, Subscriptions, Fusion, and others) in an environment where the topline moves meaningfully week over week

Execute month-end close reporting with cross-entity reconciliation across multiple business lines and cross-banner programs

Support Corporate Planning FP&A consolidation cycles (OP1, OP2, quarterly guidance) on compressed timelines in a business where forecasts are frequently revised upward

Maintain headcount, G&A, and market intelligence reporting packages

Leverage AI tools daily including natural-language data queries, automated bridge narratives, document generation, and analytical agents to execute at speed and accuracy

Build and maintain quality checklists, methodology documentation, and process improvements for every deliverable in the portfolio

Partner with senior analysts to ensure seamless data flows and identify automation opportunities that keep pace with the business

About the team

WFM E-Commerce Finance is a high-performing team of analysts supporting one of Amazon"s most dynamic online growth businesses. We sit at the intersection of Whole Foods Market and Amazon"s broader grocery ecosystem, providing financial strategy, forecasting, and decision support across traditional Delivery and Pickup, innovative cross-banner programs, and new venture initiatives. The business we support is not standing still: it is growing at double digits, launching new programs, and expanding into channels that did not exist two years ago. Our culture values sharp analytical thinking, direct communication, bias for action, and genuine investment in each other"s growth.

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
