Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with strong accounting and reconciliation experience to support financial reporting, promotional claims reconciliation, and payment analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP R/3, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to analyze financial data to provide actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze actual operating results, interpret financial data, and present findings to management.
- Respond to budget and financial reporting requests from stakeholders.
- Reconcile promotional claims and POS (Point of Sale) activity.
- Investigate and resolve payment reconciliation discrepancies arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes.
- Generate reports to validate payments and resolve financial variances.
- Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Deliver financial reporting, analytics, and spending insights to business stakeholders.
- Build spreadsheets, reports, charts, and financial models to support decision-making.
- Analyze business and financial trends to forecast revenues, expenses, and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience.
- Strong accounting and reconciliation background.
- Hands-on experience with SAP R/3 or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, reconciliations).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail operations or retail finance.
- Experience with POS reconciliation and promotional claims analysis.
- Strong PowerPoint and reporting presentation skills.
