Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking a career oriented and results-driven Financial Analyst to join our booming business. This position is hybrid and requires on-site visits 3-4 times a week.

The Financial Analyst drives data-informed decision-making through expert financial modeling, reporting, and analysis. Leveraging advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including Power BI, Excel, and Copilot, this role partners with stakeholders across all departments and executive leadership to deliver actionable insights that support strategic business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Master Budget, Financial Model and Reporting Analyses:
Maintain up-to-date budget, actual and forecasted values for the company's P&L, Cash Flow Statement, and Balance Sheet
Lead forecasting and budgeting processes, tracking company plans against actual financial results
Modify and improve financial model and reporting infrastructure as necessary
Present financial reporting updates to operations and department leaders on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis or upon request
Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecasts for assigned business units and departments
Analyze financial, customer, sales, and people performance trends and analysis
Assemble KPI and reporting packages for executive leadership team
Monthly and Quarterly Business Review Meeting Preparation:
Prepare financial performance data, reports, and quantitative analytics for each meeting
Translate complex data and analytics into intuitive reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholder consumption
Collaborate with operations leadership to obtain variance explanations and translate findings into actional financial insights
Reporting & Analysis:
Monitor and analyze revenue, COGS, gross profit, EBITDA, and G&A trends, providing actionable insights to drive profitability
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and other critical business metrics to support operational and financial decision making
Evaluate and enhance the use of financial systems (Power BI, Excel, Copilot) to maximize value and drive adoption across the organization
Corporate Development:
Perform quality control reviews on acquisition data, ensuring accuracy and integrity before consolidation
Integrate acquisition entities into existing financial reporting platforms and processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced Power BI skills, including developing interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and charts, lookups / Index Match, and other advanced formulas and functions
Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to succinctly communicate complex data and information in a graphical, easy to digest, format
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
2-3 years of professional experience in a finance related role
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Innovative in constructing more efficient ways to collect, report and analyze data
A strong ability to grasp the dynamic relationship of the business, markets, and financials
