Location: Santa Monica

Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to join a growing Commercial Real Estate organization. This role will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and portfolio performance reporting across a diverse real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of financial statements, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed financial models for budgeting, forecasting, acquisitions, dispositions, developments, and asset performance analysis.
Analyze property and portfolio performance, including occupancy, leasing activity, operating expenses, cash flow, and NOI.
Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and variance analyses.
Evaluate investment opportunities and support underwriting and due diligence efforts.
Track and report key business metrics, including occupancy trends, lease expirations, rent growth, and revenue performance.
Assist with capital planning, debt analysis, and financing-related initiatives.
Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting processes.
Prepare presentations and financial reporting packages for management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Asset Management, Leasing, Property Management, and Operations teams.
Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic business initiatives and decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Commercial Real Estate Finance, Asset Management, Valuation, or Investment Analysis.
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Commercial real estate, REIT, property management, development, or real estate investment experience.
Acquisition, disposition, and development analysis.
Asset management and portfolio reporting.
Investor reporting and capital markets exposure.
Experience building financial models from scratch.

Preferred Systems & Software

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

JD Edwards (JDE)
SAP
Oracle
NetSuite
Advanced Microsoft Excel
