Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Analysis & Problem Solving  

• Prepare and consolidate components of budgets, forecasts, key-driver analyses, and variance reporting to support management planning and decision-making.  

• Analyze financial results for accuracy, reasonableness, significant variances, and emerging trends, escalating material findings as appropriate.  

• Develop driver-based financial models to evaluate P&L implications, return on investment, revenue, expenses, margins, and other key business drivers.  

• Support balance sheet and cash flow projections and related financial analyses.  

• Participate in business-case modeling and other financial analyses supporting key areas of business performance. 

 

Reporting, Systems & Process Improvement 

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses and executive variance summaries that clearly communicate financial performance and key drivers.  

• Develop and maintain revenue, expense, and performance analyses used to inform business decisions.  

• Enhance existing financial reporting and dashboards to improve the quality, efficiency, and usability of financial information.  

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial systems, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities. 

 

Collaborate & Business Support 

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial planning and analytical support within established Finance processes.  

• Collaborate with Accounting to validate the accuracy and completeness of financial information used in forecasts, reporting, and analysis.  

• Obtain and evaluate financial and operational information from business partners and communicate relevant trends, variances, and analytical findings.  

• Build productive working relationships across Finance and the broader organization to support timely completion of planning and reporting requirements.  

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling capability, including the ability to evaluate financial information and identify relevant trends and variances.  

• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and financial performance reporting.  

• Ability to exercise judgment within established financial processes and determine appropriate analytical approaches based on available information.  

• Ability to communicate financial findings clearly and work effectively with cross-functional business partners.  

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.  

• Experience analyzing income statements; exposure to balance sheet and cash flow analysis is preferred. 

 

Technical & System Proficiency 

• Working proficiency with financial planning, ERP, or reporting systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, or comparable platforms.  

• Financial modeling and reporting proficiency appropriate to the requirements of an FP&A role. 

 

AI Skills and Experience  

• Experience with AI tools or technologies preferred. 

 

Language Skills 

• Professional written and verbal English communication skills. 

Education/Certifications:

Education and/or Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.  

• Minimum of 3 years of related finance experience.  

• Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, modeling, or related FP&A activities.

Job Summary:

The FP&A Analyst role at Allvue is a critical role in the Finance organization, supporting our business leaders in making informed decisions.  This role provides analytical, business, planning, and systems support to company leaders and for company consolidation requirements.  

  

A key responsibility of this role is the preparation of components of budgets, forecasts, and P&L variance reporting. The FP&A Analyst will prepare monthly and quarterly executive variance summaries in support of the management team.  This will require direct involvement in obtaining and discussing financial data from and with management; analyzing information for accuracy, reasonableness, and significant trends; performing margin analyses; and reviewing key driver trends.  The FP&A Analyst will also participate in business case modeling and other financial analysis and trend reporting related to key profit areas within the business.  In addition, the FP&A Analyst will have a role in balance sheet and cash flow projections.
