Financial Analyst I - Retail Finance

Location: Cupertino, CA

Schedule: Hybrid | 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day

Contract: 12-month contract with potential extension

Compensation: $38.80/hr W2

About the Role:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst I to support a global retail finance team focused on store payroll, staffing, requisitions, reporting, and process improvement. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, improving processes, and partnering with both financial and non-financial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze store staffing and requisition processes, including reporting, approvals, and new-store staffing.
• Process and approve positions and requisitions based on store-level demand.
• Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis.
• Support and manage payroll-related policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements that help retail operations scale.
• Partner with field leaders and corporate teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Education & Experience Required:

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 1+ year of professional experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to think both analytically and creatively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain financial concepts and insights to non-financial business partners.
• Continuous improvement/process-improvement mindset.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with retail finance, payroll, workforce planning, headcount, staffing, or requisition analysis.
• Experience with financial or operational reporting.
• Experience supporting cross-functional or field-based teams.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives in a large or multi-location organization.
