    Job Title: Pricing Analyst
    Location: Laurel, MD 20723 100% on-site
    Job Type:6 month contract
    Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (subject to change with business needs)
    About the Role:A leading food distribution and fresh produce company is hiring a Pricing Analyst to own item-level pricing strategy and margin performance across its customer base. You'll review markets daily, maintain contract bids and order guides, and partner with purchasing and sales to protect and grow profitability.
    What You'll Do
    Develop and maintain overall pricing strategy at the item level, reviewing accuracy on an ongoing basis.
    Review margin reports daily at the customer and item level to ensure correct adjusted gross profit.
    Oversee setup and maintenance of Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and local contract bids and order guides.
    Review markets daily and recommend price changes to customer bids, market cost, and national cost.
    Audit all bids for correct pricing suitability, adjusted gross profit, and case movement.
    Review top-moving items and make margin enhancement recommendations to purchasing.
    Analyze use of earned income to establish proper pricing structure.
    Build queries and reports in support of Purchasing and Sales leadership.
    What You Need
    High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    Minimum 5 years of pricing or closely related analytical experience (required).
    Strong pricing and/or merchandising background this is the make-or-break requirement.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    Strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication.

    100% on-site position no remote or hybrid option.
    Weekly timesheet, 40 hours per week.
