    Description

    Position Summary:

    Our client is looking for a full-time Financial Analyst (FA) based in our Houston office. The FA will be responsible for supporting the company’s strategic goals and objectives as a key member within the Corporate Planning, Business Development and Treasury groups. In addition to assisting with Beacon’s corporate planning and treasury management, the FA will contribute to a broad array of financial business including risk management (hedging), debt compliance, and transactional analysis.

    What you will be doing:

    • Creation and management of financial models/analyses, including but not limited to project and cost performance, asset evaluation, financial covenant and ratio analysis, and transaction driven analyses
    • Preparation of periodic financial reports and analysis for Management and Board of Managers
    • Perform research on industry and asset-level trends
    • Assist in contract analysis and debt compliance
    • Coordinate efforts in response to investor information requests
    • Contribute to a work environment that is consistent with Beacon’s values



    What you will need:

    • BS degree in business, finance, engineering, accounting or economics
    • Analytical thinker with 1-3 years of work experience in the oil & gas industry; investment banking, corporate planning, transaction advisory or Big Four accounting experience highly preferred
    • Strong familiarity with financial models and analysis
    • Very proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
    • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude suited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong organizational and process management skills, with keen attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize deliverables and flexibility to work hours needed to meet deadlines
