About the Role
This role focuses on turning financial and operational data into actionable insights to shape strategic decisions. By building reporting, forecasting, and analytical models, you will help leadership understand key financial metrics such as margin, profitability, and performance across various segments. Your work will directly contribute to the organization's financial health and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly/quarterly reporting packages, including variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
- Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and scorecards for financial and operational performance.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis on business initiatives with tight turnarounds.
- Support annual budget and rolling forecast processes.
- Track actuals versus plan, flag trends, and recommend corrective action.
- Partner with department managers on spend tracking and ROI measurement.
- Analyze profitability by SKU, product line, channel, and customer segment.
- Support pricing, margin, and cost analysis tied to promotions, channel mix, and fulfillment costs.
- Build financial models to evaluate new opportunities, investments, and operational changes.
- Mine large transactional/order datasets to surface trends leadership can act on.
- Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reporting and analysis.
- Support audit requests, compliance reporting, and internal controls documentation.
- Improve reporting processes in partnership with accounting/operations, ensuring GAAP alignment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or accounting; eCommerce/retail experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling); SQL or BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently in large datasets.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) preferred.
- Solid grasp of GAAP and financial statements.
- Ability to translate financial/data findings into clear takeaways for non-financial stakeholders.
- Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
