Financial Analyst (DC)

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 days telework after 2-month acclimation)

Type: Full-Time, Contract

Clearance: Must pass USCP criminal history check, fingerprinting, and background investigation

About the Role:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial management and budget execution for the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Information Systems (OIS). This role assists with budget preparation, contract closeout, procurement requests, payments, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for financial management and budget execution
• Assist with budget preparation, contract closeout, procurement requests, payments, and reconciliations
• Track and report on budget status
• Validate invoices and respond to financial inquiries
• Work with managers and teams to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with established processes
• Analyze financial data, identify issues, and recommend solutions
• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of federal budget management and execution experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and recommend solutions
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC (minimum 2 days/week)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal financial certifications
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of Agile and statistical tools such as Tableau
