Financial Analyst

This role will partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership teams to analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, improve profitability, and support strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This role will partner closely with operations, supply chain, production, and leadership teams to analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, improve profitability, and support strategic business initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• 
  
• Prepare and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• 
  
• Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances between actual, budgeted, and forecasted performance.
• 
  
• Develop financial models to support strategic business decisions and capital investment opportunities.
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• 
  

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Analysis

• 
  
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and inventory.
• 
  
• Evaluate production efficiency, yield, scrap, and utilization metrics.
• 
  
• Support standard cost development and maintenance.
• 
  
• Analyze product profitability and recommend opportunities for margin improvement.
• 
  
• Partner with operations teams to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• 
  

Reporting & Business Intelligence

• 
  
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and operational reports for management.
• 
  
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to track manufacturing performance.
• 
  
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by leadership.
• 
  
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial reporting systems.
• 
  

Operational Support

• 
  
• Collaborate with production, procurement, supply chain, and engineering teams to evaluate operational performance.
• 
  
• Support inventory management initiatives through analysis of inventory turns, obsolescence, and carrying costs.
• 
  
• Assist in evaluating new product launches, pricing strategies, and capital expenditures.
• 
  
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 
  
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or other professional certification preferred.
• 
  
• 2–5 years of financial analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance experience preferred.
• 
  
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• 
  
• Understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing operations.
• 
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
• 
  
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• 
  
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL preferred.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• 
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
