Range 8 ($9,094.51 - $14,814.00) per month based on the current Supervisory & Professional Administrators' Association. New employees will begin on step A ($9,094.51). Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA. Applications are currently being accepted for Financial Aid Systems Analyst position in the IT Applications Programming team, located at 9315 Hillery Drive, San Diego, CA 92126. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Desired Qualifications
Recent, broad and extensive experience in the following areas:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, or Technical Liaison supporting Financial Aid within a higher education ERP/SIS environment, preferably with Oracle Student Financial Aid (SFA - SAE/SFP) or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Strong experience writing SQL queries, including complex joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data transformations for analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Experience with reporting and query tools such as Oracle BI Publisher, PeopleSoft Query, or equivalent ERP/SIS reporting platforms.
Experience or working knowledge of Groovy scripting in Oracle SFA, or comparable experience with Java or similar programming/scripting languages.
Experience supporting or administering batch processing frameworks, including scheduling jobs, job sets, and run controls (e.g., PeopleSoft Process Scheduler or similar tools).
Working knowledge of ERP/SIS modules and data structures, including:
Student biographical/demographic data
Enrollment and academic records
Student Financials
Financial Aid-related financial transactions
Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, including:
Title IV programs
ISIR processing
Packaging and disbursement
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Return to Title IV (R2T4)
California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) programs (e.g., Cal Grant)
Experience supporting system integrations and data exchanges, including working with APIs, web services, or file-based integrations (XML, JSON, flat files), and performing data validation and reconciliation.
Demonstrated experience working with functional users to:
Gather and document business requirements
Develop detailed functional and technical specifications
Create and execute test plans and test scripts
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution
Experience participating in or supporting project implementations, including maintaining project plans and tracking tasks using tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
Ability to manage work assignments, maintain work logs, and provide regular (e.g., weekly) status updates to management and stakeholders.
Experience responding to inquiries and resolving issues for internal users and external partners, including state and federal agencies.
Ability to develop and maintain business process documentation, technical documentation, and training materials.
