Salary/Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
This position is focused on the utilization of campus technology resources to facilitate the administration of student financial aid. This position manages and maintains core financial aid processes within Campus Solutions, administers and reconciles funds as directed by the AVC for Enrollment Management, maintains financial aid computer programs, assists in the office technology resources including computers and servers. This position also manages student workers who assist in the functions of the position. This position is directly responsible for the proper operation of software processes that award and disburse over $110 million in federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid to over 9,000 students.
This occupation relies heavily on Federal Financial Aid knowledge along with a strong emphasis in database management, information technology, and data analysis. This position is relied upon to ensure that the financial aid office is administering aid correctly to students according to Federal and State law, so knowledge and comprehension of regulations is critical both to the office and to the University at large.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
(65%) Technical Operations Management
Administers and maintains the UCCS portion of the Financial Aid module in Campus Solutions. This includes ensuring that the financial aid module is configured correctly and testing modifications and bundles applied to Financial Aid components.
Assists with database support for the BlackBaud Scholarship program and its integration to the Campus Solutions Student Information System (CU-SIS)
Responsible for the required sign-offs for the UCCS Financial Aid module as well as the adjustments to systemic processes as applicable.
Support queries development and reporting requests from inside and outside the office as appropriate (such as PSQuery (SQL) and/or IBM Cognos).
Engages in identification of and supports solutions to complex problems and issues. Competency with constituent information systems, preferably Oracle Campus Solutions.
Ensure successful file transmission and data integrity of the federal student aid processes mainly the federal loan and grant programs.

Schedule and run fundamental financial aid programs and ensure their correct operation. This includes packaging, disbursement, ISIR load, satisfactory academic progress, federal program origination and reporting, and electronic student communications.
Primary point of contact for the CommGen (3C) back-up, maintaining and creation of these processes.
Utilize technology to create and improve financial aid processing.
(20%) Communication & Collaboration
Solid interpersonal skills with ability to work well with people of all levels of information technology expertise and comfort in varied organizational relationships.
Serves as the liaison to the other CU financial aid offices and works as the main point of contact for system adjustments and approvals of any known core systemic changes
Represent financial aid and UCCS in meetings with staff from other offices and other campuses in the CU system. This includes the financial aid key-users, warehousing and reporting, ITAC meetings. This involves participating in decision-making, which may have far-reaching impact on the operations of the University of Colorado.
(10%) Administrative Tasks
Maintain secure servers and workstations for the use of financial aid employees. This includes maintaining software and hardware resources. Additionally, provides desktop support for the financial aid office.
Develop and maintain in-house reports using Peoplesoft Query, SQL, XML Publisher, Cognos, and other reporting tools for quality assurance of financial aid data, and for consumption by financial aid users.
(5%) Leadership/Supervision
Hire, supervise, train, and collaborate with student employees to support the needs of the department.

Qualifications
§ This position requires a bachelor's degree Substitution:(Experience with databases or information technology may take the place of this requirement on a year for year basis.)
§ Must have experience working in an institution of higher education.
§ Experience with campus solutions is strongly preferred.
