As we continue to grow, we are excited to expand our presence with a new location in Okemos, Michigan, and are looking for an experienced, motivated Financial Advisor to become an integral part of this new office.

Position Overview:

FSA is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Financial Advisor to serve clients and help establish our presence in the Okemos market. This is an excellent opportunity for an Advisor who enjoys building meaningful client relationships, developing comprehensive financial strategies, and presenting to prospective clients.

A key component of this position is hosting and presenting at educational retirement dinner seminars, where you will have the opportunity to connect with prospective clients and introduce them to FSA’s approach to retirement planning.

FSA provides the marketing, prospective client opportunities, and appointment-setting support. Qualified appointments are placed directly on your calendar, allowing you to spend more of your time doing what you do best: meeting with clients, building relationships, and providing financial guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and prospective clients.
• Meet with individuals and families to understand their financial goals, concerns, and retirement objectives.
• Develop and present comprehensive financial strategies tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.
• Provide guidance related to retirement income planning, investments, tax-efficient strategies, insurance, and other areas of a client’s financial life.
• Host and present retirement dinner seminars, communicating financial and retirement concepts in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.
• Meet with seminar attendees and other company-generated prospects for follow-up consultations.
• Leverage company-provided leads and appointments to develop and maintain a strong book of business.
• Conduct ongoing client reviews and provide continued guidance as clients’ needs and circumstances evolve.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client meetings, recommendations, account activity, and follow-up.
• Conduct business in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and FSA policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with Client Service, First Impressions, Compliance, and other FSA team members to provide a seamless World Class client experience.
• Help establish and grow FSA’s presence and reputation within the Okemos community.
• Stay current on financial planning strategies, regulatory developments, industry trends, and available planning tools.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Advisor who is confident working with clients, comfortable speaking in front of groups, and motivated by the opportunity to help grow a new FSA location.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of financial advising experience preferred.
• Series 65, Series 66, or other applicable securities licensing, or the ability and willingness to obtain required licensing.
• CFP® designation or other relevant professional credentials are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the confidence to lead educational seminars.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and relatable manner.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities within a growing office.
• Ability to work independently while remaining highly connected and collaborative with the broader FSA team.
• Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and putting the client first.
• Proficiency with financial planning technology and the ability to learn FSA’s systems and processes.

Schedule & Location:

This position will be based at our new Okemos, Michigan location.

Regular office hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Because this is a client-facing Financial Advisor position, flexibility outside of traditional business hours is required. Advisors participate in evening retirement seminars and client events, and occasional evening or weekend appointments may be necessary based on client needs.

Initial onboarding and training will take place at FSA’s Troy headquarters to provide comprehensive training on our financial planning process, technology, compliance requirements, client experience standards, and Advisor expectations.
