    Overview

    This position will provide an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to excel in a position of leadership! The Financial Accounting Supervisor will assist in the timely and accurate production of financial statements and is responsible for the supervision of the Accounts Receivable function and general financial accounting at the Terre Haute division of Steel Dynamics.

    Responsibilities

    Some of the responsibiities will include:

    • Coordinating month-end activities between departments to ensure proper cut-off procedures
    • Preparation of financial statements
    • Financial analysis
    • Account reconciliations
    • Assisting in tax-related activities
    • Participating in inventory counts
    • Capital project accounting
    • Assisting in quarterly reviews and year-end audit by outside auditors
    • Prioritizing responsibilities
    • Budgeting

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor''s Degree (Accounting is preferred)
    • General knowledge and understanding of GAAP
    • Five (5) or more years of accounting experience
    • CMA or CPA is preferred
    • Supervisory experience
