This is a 12 month full-time temporary role

ROLE OVERVIEW:

EA's CFO organization comprises a broad group of finance disciplines. Our common goal is partnership with business teams delivering strategies and providing our players with amazing experiences. All our finance teams assist the business in achieving profitable creativity by providing financial insight, reporting and guidance.

This Finance Manager 1 will partner with FP&A, Commercial and Studio Leadership (Tracab & F1) teams. The role reports to the Director of FP&A. You will work a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in an EA office.

What You'll Do:

Business Partnering

  • Manage full P&L and overall financial health for Tracab and F1, providing strategic guidance and decision support
  • to leadership.
  • Effectively develop strong relationships with key leadership to help deliver the long-term strategy
  • Drive and assist teams to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to assist with decision making and value creation.
  • Influence key decisions by understanding the big picture combined with providing underlying deep financial analysis and insights
  • Prepare and hold business reviews for Tracab and F1 leadership teams with clear and actionable presentation materials

Financial Forecasting and Reporting

  • Develop and collaborate with Studio and Commercial team on long range, annual and quarterly revenue forecasts
  • Lead financial reviews with budget owners to develop annual plans and subsequent forecast updates
  • Drive insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance

  • Responsible for purchase order approvals, budgeted spend tracking, monthly close activities, and headcount management. Set control processes in place to manage spending and headcount within plan.

Monthly and Quarterly Close

  • Manage all close activities for assigned departments including identifying and preparing accrual and reclass entries to ensure precise accounting of known activities
  • Ensure compliance with EA's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of related financial experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
  • Comfortable with complex datasets and modeling
  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of audience
  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint or Google Suite, and experience using Anaplan and Power BI.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$92,900 - $129,200 CAD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
