  • Serves as a key finance business partner to the CPG & Food Processor Commercial Sales team, providing financial insights, KPI reporting, and analytical support to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability objectives.
  • Drives the commercial planning and financial forecasting/budgeting process by developing in-month and forward channel-level forecasts by customer, factoring in variability in gross price, allowances and material/conversion costs, and presents to Business Unit/Channel management.
  • Deliver actionable financial insights, scenario analyses, and performance reporting to support strategic and operational business decisions.
  • Responsible for monthly analysis, including detailed variance analysis of volume and standard gross margin.
  • Integrates Commercial Finance function into Novolex’s digital strategy by expanding the use of new digital tools such as One Stream Reporting and Tableau.
  • Assists with the annual rebate program process, coordinating with regional sales managers to understand, analyze and recommend programs that will aid in Novolex’s growth.

  • Partner with IT, Sales Operations, and Finance teams to improve data governance, reporting accuracy, and system integration across commercial processes.
  • Lead monthly Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) tracking, performance analysis, accrual validation, and reporting.
  • Support the deployment and financial evaluation of corporate growth, pricing, and profitability initiatives across the sales organization.
  • Own commercial P&L analytics, including revenue, volume, gross margin, trade investments, rebates, and customer profitability.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required with emphasis in finance or accounting (MBA/CPA preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in a financial analytical role with specific experience in Gross-to-Net accounting and analysis. Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations, pricing strategy, customer profitability analysis, trade spending, rebates, and revenue growth management initiatives preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of income statement analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with an ability to anticipate the needs of the stakeholders and take quick action.
  • Experience collaborating and working successfully with stakeholders and teams, with ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with database development and reporting tools, proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP & OneStream or other similar digital financial reporting tools experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.

 

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000-$135,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
