    The Opportunity

    This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

    We are seeking a results-driven Finance Manager – Logistics to lead financial planning, analysis, and operational oversight within our distribution and logistics network. This role will be responsible for financial ownership of both the Abbott distribution network and freight budgets, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and compliance across all logistics-related activities.

    The Finance Manager will lead critical financial processes, oversee key reporting functions, and partner with operations and supply chain leadership to drive performance and accountability. This role includes direct management of one Finance Supervisor and requires a balance of hands-on analytics and strategic oversight.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Lead the annual Plan, LBE, and forecasting processes for freight and distribution spend, ensuring accurate financial projections and alignment with business objectives.
    • Manage financial performance across transportation, warehousing, distribution, and third-party logistics operations by monitoring results against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
    • Provide financial oversight of the Abbott distribution network and third-party logistics providers, identifying key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities to improve performance.
    • Lead logistics financial reporting, including monthly business reviews and Management & Performance (M&P) reporting, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Serve as a trusted finance business partner to logistics, transportation, and distribution leaders by quantifying the financial impact of operational initiatives and supporting cost savings and network optimization efforts.
    • Oversee the freight and distribution forecasting, reporting, and analytics processes led by the Finance Supervisor, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
    • Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance Supervisor, providing direction and oversight for logistics finance activities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure strong financial controls and inventory compliance practices, including support for inventory audits and internal and external audit requirements.
    • Drive continuous improvement in logistics finance processes, reporting, forecasting, and automation to enhance efficiency, visibility, and decision support.

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA desirable
    • Minimum 8 years of applicable experience in diversified finance/accounting roles.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and oral/written communication skills, as well as an ability to effectively manage workload to ensure deadlines are met. 
    • Proven critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results.
    • Possess proven leadership skills and demonstrate the ability to complete assignments involving all levels of management and functional areas.
    • Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role interacts with multiple levels within the organization.
    • Self-starter and highly motivated; ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong PC/system skills, experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP expertise is desirable.

    The base pay for this position is

    $99,300.00 – $198,700.00

    In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
