About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, management reporting, and supporting the strategic financial planning for Evestia Clinical. This role is key to ensuring financial control, accurate forecasting, and timely analysis to support executive decision-making and profitable execution of client-sponsored clinical trials.
What will your job look like?
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS)
Prepare detailed management reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods, and present findings to senior leadership
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the financial forecasting and annual budgeting models across key functional areas (e.g., Clinical Operations, Business Development)
Oversee and manage the accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
Coordinate with Project Management and Business Development teams to track project profitability, utilization rates, and revenue recognition according to contract terms
Assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with treasury management and cash flow analysis to optimize working capital
Ensure all financial operations comply with internal controls and external regulatory requirements
Participate in the financial due diligence and integration planning for potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or strategic investments
Support external auditors during annual audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation
Lead and mentor junior finance and accounting staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development
What will you need to succeed?
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Professional certification preferred (CIMA, CPA or CFA)
Senior-level finance or accounting experience, ideally within a CRO or pharma/biotech environment
Strong FP&A background including budgeting and forecasting
Full-cycle accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP/IFRS reporting standards
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or NetSuite) and advanced Excel financial modelling
Experience working cross-functionally on project-based profitability and operational performance
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Solid grounding in accounting principles and financial best practices
Ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
High integrity with a commitment to ethical financial practice
