Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial planning, reporting, accounting, budgeting, and business analysis. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, improve operational decision making, and ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls.
Responsibilities
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
Partner with plant leadership to provide financial analysis and business recommendations
Develop annual operating budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
Support capital investment analysis, pricing decisions, and new product financial evaluations
Oversee accounting operations, including fixed assets, inventory accounting, physical inventory, and cycle counts
Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP
Support internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
