    Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is conducting a search for a Finance Manager to support a dynamic and growing organization. This role will oversee financial operations across a division, ensuring accurate reporting, strong fiscal controls, and strategic financial planning across multiple projects.


    Title: Finance Manager
    Location: Hybrid – Dulles, VA
    Salary Range: $110,000-$150,000
    Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

    This position partners closely with operations, project leadership, and executive teams to evaluate performance, manage cash flow, and support long-term growth initiatives while leading day-to-day financial operations and team development.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Partner with operations, estimating, procurement, and executive leadership to align financial operations with business goals
    • Lead core financial functions including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) departments
    • Ensure timely completion of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial requirements
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5+ accounting/finance professionals
    • Support external audits, vendor relationships, and insurance review processes
    • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices across financial operations
    • Analyze financial trends, project performance, and cost drivers to inform decision-making
    • Develop financial models and scenario analyses for bids, proposals, and capital investments
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s preferred
    • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years within the construction industry
    • Experience with Cost Plus (GMP), fixed-fee, and lump-sum revenue recognition methodologies
    • Strong understanding of construction accounting concepts including WIP, retainage, lien releases, job costing, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
    • Experience with construction-focused ERP systems such as COINS, Viewpoint, Sage 300, Procore, or CMiC is a plus
    • 5+ years of team leadership experience in a high-growth environment
    • Familiarity with union and non-union payroll and collective bargaining agreements (CBA)
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial operations management
