Description

Finance Leader For Global ACV Reporting

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to own and enhance the global ACV reporting framework for a large, complex, subscription-based business. This role will lead a small team and partner closely with Finance, Commercial, Sales Operations, and Leadership teams to deliver insightful reporting, explain key business drivers, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end ACV reporting process across a global, multi-product business, ensuring the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Own the calculation, analysis, and reconciliation of ACV metrics, providing a clear bridge between commercial performance and reported revenue.
  • Deliver insightful analysis on key business drivers, including renewals, retention, churn, expansion, contraction, product migration, and new business generation.
  • Develop and communicate the ACV story to senior stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and the underlying drivers of business performance.
  • Partner with Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations, Commercial Leadership, and Data teams to ensure consistency of definitions, methodologies, and reporting outputs across the organization.
  • Investigate and explain variances between business performance metrics, ACV reporting, and revenue results, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyze customer and product cohorts to assess revenue quality, customer retention, and long-term growth trends.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting models, controls, and governance processes to improve data quality, accuracy, and confidence in reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes, data flows, and systems, identifying opportunities to increase automation and efficiency.
  • Act as the key point of contact and subject matter expert for ACV reporting, establishing a trusted and consistent view of performance across the business.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team responsible for reporting, analysis, and business support activities.
  • Support executive leadership with strategic analysis and presentations that inform planning, forecasting, and decision-making at both divisional and enterprise level.

The successful candidate will bring a blend of commercial finance, revenue analytics, and leadership experience gained within a complex, recurring revenue business. You will be highly analytical, naturally curious, and capable of translating large volumes of data into meaningful business insights that support strategic decision-making. Key requirements include:

  • 10+ years of experience within ACV/ARR reporting, revenue analytics, FP&A, revenue accounting, commercial finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and developing enterprise-wide ACV, ARR, subscription, or recurring revenue reporting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of key recurring revenue metrics, including renewals, retention, churn, expansion, contraction, and customer growth trends.
  • Experience partnering with senior finance, commercial, sales operations, and business leaders to influence decision-making and performance outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles and the relationship between commercial performance metrics and reported revenue.
  • Advanced analytical and data manipulation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools such as Salesforce, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar platforms.
  • A proven track record of improving reporting processes, strengthening controls, and driving greater confidence in business performance reporting.
  • Previous people leadership experience, with the ability to develop, coach, and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
