SALARY: $105k-$115k/yr. DOE

LOCATION: Portland, OR

SCHEDULE: Full-time; Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Oversee Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting: Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and accurate financial reporting.

• Lead Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models; monitor cash flow and financial performance; analyze trends, risks, and opportunities; and report key financial and operational KPIs.

• Maintain Financial Controls and Compliance: Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures; ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations; and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors.

• Drive Business Partnership and Process Improvement: Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decisions, evaluate pricing and operational efficiency, oversee financial responsibilities for 8th Avenue LLC, and improve accounting systems and workflows.

• Lead and Develop the Accounting Team: Provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and ongoing feedback; establish documented procedures and cross-training; promote collaboration and continuous improvement; and model company values and integrity.
   

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of an accounting function or team.

• Technical Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end close, and internal controls; proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Excel.

• Leadership and Communication: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees, collaborate across departments, and communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with exceptional attention to detail, sound business judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in hospitality, catering, events, food service, or other complex service businesses preferred.
   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods, review detailed financial information, and frequently communicate with team members and business partners. The position may also require occasional movement throughout the workplace, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting or carrying light office materials as needed.
