    Finance Coordinator 

    Job Summary 

    The Finance Coordinator provides support across a variety of financial and accounting functions, helping ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and well organized. This role will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, timekeeping, general ledger activities, and other day-to-day Finance functions while also supporting financial projects and process improvements. 

    The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and able to think critically and solve problems. This position offers an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of Finance and how financial processes support the overall business. 

    Previous accounting or finance experience is preferred, but not required. We are open to recent graduates who have the education, technical skills, and desire to learn and grow. 

    Responsibilities 
    • Assist with day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. 
    • Process, organize, and maintain financial information and documentation. 
    • Assist with timekeeping processes, reporting, and related follow-up. 
    • Prepare and enter basic general ledger journal entries and other accounting transactions. 
    • Assist with account reconciliations and routine financial reporting. 
    • Provide backup support for members of the Accounting and Finance team as needed. 
    • Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities. 
    • Research discrepancies and assist with resolving routine accounting issues. 
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, reconcile, and report financial information. 
    • Maintain accurate and organized financial records. 
    • Support financial projects, reporting, process improvements, and other special projects assigned by the Director of Finance. 
    • Work with associates and leaders throughout the organization to gather information and support financial processes. 
    • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and company information. 
    • Learn and effectively utilize accounting and ERP systems. 
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    Required 
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. 
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills. 
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. 
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy. 
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment. 
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
    • Ability to learn and effectively use accounting and ERP systems. 

    Preferred 
    • Previous experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related field. 
    • Experience using accounting or ERP software. 
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and general ledger functions. 
    • Internship, co-op, or other practical experience in an accounting or finance environment. 
    • Experience: Previous professional experience is preferred, but not required. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. 
    • Work Environment and Physical Requirements 
    • This position primarily works in an office environment and requires regular use of a computer and other standard office equipment. The position may occasionally require movement throughout the facility and into manufacturing areas.
