About this role

We are looking for a Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join Morrison & Foerster's Finance practice group, representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in complex, fast-paced secured lending transactions. This is an opportunity to work alongside a diverse group of smart, collaborative colleagues at a firm known for giving associates substantive client exposure early in their careers.

What will you be doing?

  • Representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions
  • Drafting, editing, and reviewing loan documents including loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, and commitment papers
  • Working on leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance deals
  • Managing internal and external client and counsel relationships on complex financing matters
  • Taking on increasing levels of responsibility for transactions with direct client interaction

Key Requirements

  • 3-6 years of law firm experience primarily in secured lending transactions (class years 2020-2023)
  • Demonstrated experience with leveraged finance, syndicated lending, or sponsor finance
  • Strong drafting skills for loan documentation and closing materials
  • Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in
  • Prior experience at a top-tier law firm with strong academic credentials
Salary
$260K - $390K (Compensation follows the market-leading Cravath lockstep scale based on class year (2020-2023). Base salary ranges from $310K-$420K depending on class year, plus substantial annual bonus potential including standard lockstep bonus, high hours bonus, and merit incentive.
