Accounting & Finance Manager
Overview
Our client is a growing insurance organization is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and compliance activities. This individual will play a key role in supporting financial performance, maintaining strong controls, and partnering with leadership to drive operational and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities.
- Coordinate external audits and support regulatory or compliance-related reporting requirements.
- Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes.
- Lead and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Support process improvement initiatives, business planning activities, and organizational growth projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including financial reporting and close management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- CPA designation and experience within a regulated industry are a plus.
