    Accounting & Finance Manager

    Overview

    Our client is a growing insurance organization is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and compliance activities. This individual will play a key role in supporting financial performance, maintaining strong controls, and partnering with leadership to drive operational and strategic initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
    • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury activities.
    • Coordinate external audits and support regulatory or compliance-related reporting requirements.
    • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to leadership.
    • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes.
    • Lead and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
    • Support process improvement initiatives, business planning activities, and organizational growth projects.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including financial reporting and close management.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial analysis.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    • CPA designation and experience within a regulated industry are a plus.
