Kforce has a client that is seeking a Finance/Accounting Manager in Lakewood Ranch, FL.
Overview:
A large and rapidly growing home builder and land development company in the Greater Tampa Bay area is seeking a high-impact accounting and finance professional to join their expanding team. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, overseeing a team while driving key financial insights.
This role blends core accounting, financial analysis, and team leadership, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making across multiple active development projects. The ideal candidate is hands-on, forward-thinking, and comfortable leading in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 4 associates, providing guidance, training, and performance support
- Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Review team output to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
- Analyze project costs, land development expenditures, and construction budgets
- Partner with operations teams to track and evaluate project performance and variances
- Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling initiatives
- Prepare management reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Identify process improvements and help scale accounting and reporting functions as the company continues to grow
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 4-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
- Heavy forecasting and reporting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Prior experience leading or mentoring others (formal or informal) strongly preferred
- Experience in construction, homebuilding, real estate, or land development is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
