Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Finance & Accounting AI Trainer for an innovative organization that partners with experienced professionals to evaluate, challenge, and improve artificial intelligence systems. This is a fully remote opportunity posted out of Denver, CO, offering a flexible schedule and the chance to apply your existing finance or accounting expertise to the rapidly evolving field of AI.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Finance & Accounting AI Trainer will use real-world professional expertise to develop and evaluate complex tasks designed to challenge AI models and improve their accuracy and reliability. Rather than performing a traditional finance or accounting role, you will review AI-generated work, identify errors, explain your reasoning, and create realistic professional scenarios based on your subject matter expertise. This 12-week project is ideal for experienced professionals who are strong writers, detail-oriented thinkers, and excited to contribute directly to the advancement of AI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate AI-generated finance or accounting responses for accuracy, quality, logic, and completeness.
• Develop realistic, expert-level tasks and scenarios based on your professional experience.
• Identify technical errors and clearly explain the appropriate reasoning, methodology, or treatment.
• Produce thoughtful, source-grounded written work that helps improve AI model performance.
• Follow detailed project instructions while independently managing assignments in a remote environment.
• Apply hands-on expertise across areas such as FP&A, markets, banking, credit, risk, valuation, accounting, financial reporting, audit, tax, GAAP/IFRS, controls, or related disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Substantive, hands-on professional experience within finance or accounting, with current or recent practical knowledge of the field.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex professional reasoning.
• Excellent attention to detail and comfort working through detailed instructions and nuanced problems.
• Strong technology skills, including comfort with web-based platforms, spreadsheets, file management, and remote collaboration tools.
• Ability to independently commit 30 to 40 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours weekly throughout the 12-week project.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This independent contractor opportunity offers a full project rate of $125 per hour, with payments made through PayPal. The initial engagement is expected to last 12 weeks with a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week. The Starter Assessment is compensated at a flat rate of $240, and approved participants receive paid onboarding and training before beginning full project work. As an independent contractor engagement, traditional employee benefits are not provided.
