A day in the life
You start at a local Portland, ME warehouse, review your route, and stage treadmills, rowers, and racks for the day. With your Sprinter or 16' box truck (lift gate preferred) and a reliable helper, you head to customers’ homes to deliver, assemble to manufacturer specifications, test, and tidy up. You provide white-glove care at every stop—great communication, tech-enabled updates, and a professional finish.
About the opportunity
Contract role with AIT Home Delivery, a leader in premium final-mile services for consumer goods—delivery, assembly, and repairs for high-end brands shipping direct to consumers.
Compensation
Potential to earn 40K-100K+ dependent upon volume, location, and contract work accepted. Settlements process weekly.
What you’ll do
- Pick up fitness equipment from a local warehouse and deliver to individual residences.
- Assemble equipment to manufacturer specs; verify operation and customer satisfaction.
- Handle larger, bulky items safely with your helper; debris removal as needed.
- Use a mobile phone to navigate, capture photos, and communicate with customers and dispatch.
- Represent premium brands with exceptional customer service and clear communication.
What you’ll bring
- Own or lease a Sprinter Van or smaller box truck; lift gates are preferred.
- A dependable helper—two-man teams required.
- Hand and power tools, plus mechanical aptitude to build per manufacturer guidelines.
- An EIN (federal tax ID) - This can be obtained (free) at irs.gov.
- Compliance with insurance and vehicle registrations.
- DOT /MC numbers may be required for GVWR over 10,000 lbs.
- Adherence to all applicable state laws for the vehicle used.
- Tech savvy with a mobile phone and excellent communication skills.
Compliance
- Background and Drug Screens are performed on all contractors including helpers
- MVR are performed for all driving contractors
