Filling Machine Operator
(Full-Time | Food & Beverage Manufacturing)
Day or Night Shifts available (12 hour shifts)
Job Summary
This role supports high-speed beverage production lines by operating and monitoring equipment across filling, packaging, and end-of-line processes to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations while maintaining strict quality and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, assemble, operate, and monitor filling equipment across multiple production lines.
- Monitor gauges and equipment settings to ensure package weights and critical control parameters stay within specifications.
- Respond quickly to machine alarms and coordinate with technicians when needed.
- Perform seal checks and package-integrity tests at required intervals.
- Ensure all necessary materials and supplies are stocked for continuous production.
- Monitor product and packaging quality throughout the shift.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, sanitary condition, including completing scheduled CIP procedures.
- Work with maintenance teams to address equipment malfunctions.
- Accurately complete all required production paperwork, including start-up and cleaning checklists, downtime logs, and quality check sheets.
- Review production data such as variances and efficiencies.
- Communicate production issues to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all Production, Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and Integrated Management System requirements.
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- 1-3 years of Machine Operator experience
- Food & beverage industry experience (preferred)
- Ability to work a flexible or changing schedule.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Previous machine-operator experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing stairs.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
