About the role

Production Worker II's are responsible for filling the boxes that come down the assembly line to a certain weight, usually 50 pounds. After the case of material reaches the targeted weight, it moves down the line to be prepared for taping. Production Operator II can be placed on 2 separate lines: automated fillers and super sack fillers. The super sack filler is responsible for filling the large plastic sacks with material and transporting to the designated area. All Production Worker II's are responsible for cleaning various parts of the factory during shut down/start up once a week.

Responsibilities

Safety & Environmental Performance

Lead the safety effort by personal example.

Support full plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses.

Adhere to SOPs and other work procedures as required to assure product quality and consistency to our customers.

Encourage employees to look for ways to improve safety and production processes.

Prevention and timely reporting of any environmental issues.

Adhere to GMP's and other work procedures as to assure product quality and consistency to our customers.

Prevent injuries by encouraging employees to work safely

Work Requirements

Inspect Container- Correct and without damage

Ensure that the product is free from clumping/ discoloration/ foreign material

Container is sealed properly and to the customer specifications

Make work area ready for wash-downs, change over, and sanitation

Correct product that needs weight adjustments/ closure corrections

Manually stack finished product onto pallets as needed

Maintain work area so that is neat, clean and without foreign material present

Comply with all plant an personal GMP guidelines set forth by the company

To perform any and all tasks as assigned by any member of management

Potentially asked to participate on Safety Committee

Continuous improvement projects as directed by management

Cost Control

Help to ensure that there is no waste of cartons or liners

Ensure work is completed to customer specific specification

Contribute to the effort in controlling costs and minimizing waste in your daily work

About you

High School Diploma or GED

1 or more years in food manufacturing facility preferred

Must be literate and able to perform simple math

Must speak and understand English

Must be able to recognize letters and numbers

Ability to understand scale measurement
