1st Shift Production Holston Gases Inc., a leading independent producer and distributor of industrial, medical, specialty gases & related equipment , is seeking motivated ind ividual to become a 1st shift production team member to join our team. JOB SUMMARY: The 1st shift production position will work in a team environment to safely and efficiently achieve daily production goals . Unload cylinder trucks as they return, if needed. Sort empty cylinders into like pallets while making sure each cylinder is safe and lega l to fill per DOT law and Holston Gases policies . Fills cylinders according to known orders and available stock . Fill known dry ice orders. Performs forklift inspection(s) at beginning of shift. Maintains neat , clean, professional personal appearance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Perform prefill inspection on all cylinders as required by DOT law and Holston Gases policies while sorting them onto pallets of like gas or mixture. • Fill cylinders based on known orders at the time, stock levels, and/or availability of empty cylinders to fill. • Fill any known dry ice orders • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed. • Communicate with team and incoming shift to ensure efficiency can be maintained. • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area at all ti mes. JOB SUMMARY: Holston Gases is looking to fill a fulltime position in Cylinder Maintenance. The candidate will be subject to the following in Cylinder Maintenance: Essential Duties: Cleaning/removing dirt, oil, and grease from high pressure cylinders. Scraping labels from cylinders. Sand blasting cylinders down to bare metal so they can be visually checked for defects using a pit gauge. Resurfacing cylinders using a paint -gun/booth according to E.P.A., and D.O.T. specifications. Replacing valves due to being old, damaged, and or leaking. Recertifying cylinders using D.O.T. written laws to ensure a safe product to our customers. We do all of these jobs daily using D.O.T., E.P.A., and OSHA written laws/regulations. We require someone to be able to adhere, and obey these same regulations. We are looking for the following skills: An attention to detail. A willingness to learn.
