    Position Summary

    The Scan Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing, signs, labels, and promotional information throughout the store. This position ensures compliance with company pricing standards, supports merchandising execution, and helps deliver a positive customer experience by maintaining pricing integrity and accurate product information.

    Key Responsibilities Pricing & Data Accuracy

    • Maintain accurate shelf tags, signs, and pricing information throughout the store.
    • Execute price changes, markdowns, and promotional updates according to company schedules.
    • Verify pricing accuracy between shelf tags, advertisements, and point-of-sale systems.
    • Research and correct pricing discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Ensure all required signs and labels are properly displayed and current.

    Store Compliance

    • Support compliance with company pricing policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct routine audits to ensure pricing accuracy and signage compliance.
    • Maintain records of completed price changes and promotional updates as required.
    • Prepare for and support pricing audits and inspections.

    Merchandising Support

    • Coordinate the setup and removal of promotional signs and displays.
    • Assist department managers with pricing and signage needs.
    • Ensure promotional programs are accurately represented throughout the store.
    • Support store initiatives, seasonal merchandise changes, and special events.

    Customer Service

    • Assist customers with pricing inquiries and product information.
    • Resolve pricing concerns professionally and promptly.
    • Work collaboratively with store associates and department teams to address customer issues.
    • Promote a positive shopping experience through accuracy and attention to detail.

    Technology & Administrative Tasks

    • Operate pricing and scanning equipment, computers, and related software systems.
    • Update and maintain electronic pricing databases as assigned.
    • Troubleshoot basic equipment and pricing system issues.
    • Communicate pricing concerns and system discrepancies to store leadership as needed.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Handle equipment and materials safely and responsibly.
    • Comply with all company operational standards and expectations.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous retail, pricing, merchandising, or inventory experience preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and climb as needed.
    • Frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work throughout various areas of the store.
