Job Summary

The Oberlin College Department of Studio Art is seeking a student worker to serve as a figure drawing session monitor for weekly recurring sessions on Thursdays evenings for a roughly three hour period of time per week.

Student must be available between 5:45pm and 9:15pm Thursdays

Responsibilities

The Figure Drawing Session Monitor serves as a proctor and organizer for the Studio Art Department's evening open figure drawing session. This student employee's primary responsibilities are to be present for the duration of the figure drawing sessions, set up and break down the classroom, assist the model, and convey and ensure all students and the model are adhering to policies and standards of the session. Quiet non-disruptive study and/or drawing time during sessions by monitor is permitted.

Qualifications

Applicant must be an actively enrolled student of Oberlin College. Previous experience with life models and drawing sessions is preferred but not required.
