    We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Harrison County, West Virginia. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan''s Purse are to help people in Jesus'' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    In the role of Volunteer Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ

    • Greet and welcome volunteer teams as they arrive. Distribute T-shirts and volunteer materials, inform them about mealtimes, and explain lodging assignments. Provide an orientation for volunteers covering project details, the event that initiated the project, safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and responsibilities for cleaning up the camp.

    • Assist in performing safety training for all staff and volunteers.

    • Work with North Wilkesboro-based volunteer coordinators in scheduling volunteers and act as a liaison between the Volunteer Coordinator team and the Project Superintendent.

    • Track all volunteer hours and provide reporting of this information to the Field Support Assistant Manager.

    • Work with Construction Foremen to match volunteer skills with work tasks and assign tasks accordingly.

    • Assist the Project Superintendent and the Office Manager in the review and preparation of daily and monthly reports.

    • Other duties as assigned

    As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

    • Associate''s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
