PGS Worldwide is seeking a Field Technician 3 for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Field Technician 3 will provide technical support for flight operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying avionics, electrical systems, and related equipment. This position supports customer operations in the field while providing technical expertise, equipment maintenance, and customer support in domestic and international environments.
Required Skills
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Associate's degree in an appropriate technical discipline with four (4) years of specialized E-2C experience, OR a high school diploma with six (6) years of E-2C Avionics and Electrical Systems experience.
- Experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying avionics and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Experience supporting integrated systems, subsystems, and associated software.
- Ability to analyze equipment performance and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
- Experience performing engineering field changes, upgrades, and equipment installations.
- Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to support and train customer personnel as needed.
- Must be willing to travel OCONUS 100% of the time.
- Ability to work independently without established procedures while solving complex technical problems.
What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance, modifications, and technical support on E-2C avionics and electrical systems.
- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify customer equipment and integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions to restore operational capability.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Install upgrades and engineering field changes while ensuring proper system integration.
- Support testing, operational exercises, and customer missions at OCONUS locations.
- Serve as a technical resource for resolving complex maintenance and operational issues.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and provide onsite technical assistance.
- Train customer support personnel on equipment operation and maintenance when required.
