Compucom Systems, Inc., delivers end-to-end IT managed services that empower businesses to create a modern digital workplace. We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to provide onsite technical support within a designated geographic area.
Candidates should possess reliable transportation, clean MVR, and a valid driver’s license.
This Technician will serve as the primary onsite contact for technical and service-related issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, installing, and repairing laser printers, wide-format printers, kiosks, POS systems, and related hardware / software. Collaboration with Level II or Lead Technicians may be required to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. This tech will be dispatched to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain multiple devices, from Network Multi-function devices to large format printers, and related photo lab equipment, along with the supported infrastructure and equipment installations.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve issues with printers, plotters, kiosks, and POS systems
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance
Deliver clear technical assistance to customers onsite and over the phone
Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with Epson print systems is a plus
Experience repairing laser and wide format printers
Electromechanical experience a plus
Strong knowledge of printers, computer hardware, and software
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Maintain a clean workspace during and after repair
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in a team
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Wage Range:
The hourly rate for this position is between
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour, unless the local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
