Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Field Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on fabrication experience. The role requires comfort with using tools, reading drawings and blueprints, and working in both shop and field environments. This position is ideal for individuals ready to travel, particularly during the spring and fall installation seasons. While no formal degree is necessary, technical training or certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in hands-on mechanical work, including using tools and assembling parts in the shop.
  • Support installation work in the field, particularly during peak travel seasons in spring and fall.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
  • Perform shop work involving assembly, testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Run stainless steel tubing, with Swagelok experience considered a valuable asset.
  • Work with tubing, valves, and pressure-based systems, and exposure to control and detection systems for industrial equipment.
  • Perform basic 24V wiring and terminations.
  • Communicate effectively in customer-facing scenarios.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Travel readiness and willingness to work in industrial environments.
  • Experience with tubing, valves, and pressure-based systems.
  • Customer-facing communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with stainless steel tubing and Swagelok systems is a strong plus.
  • Background in trade school, technical training, industrial maintenance, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in automation, military maintenance, or steam turbine systems is beneficial.

Work Environment

The role is based primarily in an office/shop environment with normal 8-hour workdays, five days a week. Travel constitutes approximately 20 to 30 percent of the year, with peak periods in spring and fall, and may involve consecutive one-week trips. The position involves working in industrial facilities, with opportunities for skill development across mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems. The company offers exposure to industrial steam turbine and power generation systems, providing a stable, long-term opportunity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loveland, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
