Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic / Structural Field Technician to service and repair industrial recycling equipment including balers, conveyors, compactors, shredders, and related systems. You will also be responsible for making any modifications to equipment as needed, and may help train new staff on existing equipment to ensure it is properly utilized. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial maintenance, has a great analytical mind, and strong attention to detail. 

Responsibilities 

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures on recycling equipment
• Perform structural welding and fabrication repairs
• Replace wear liners, bearings, chains, rollers, hoses, cylinders, and components
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections
• Complete field service reports
• Travel to customer locations as needed
• Maintain professional customer communication onsite
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures

Qualifications

• Hydraulic troubleshooting experience
• MIG and/or stick welding experience
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics
• Experience using diagnostic tools
• Ability to work independently
